Pop singer Justin Bieber, guitarist Andy McKee and makeup artist Lauren Luke have one thing in common--they all started out as unknowns on the video-sharing site, Youtube. Created in 2005, YouTube is one of the most popular websites in the world, allowing millions of users to view, rate and upload videos. If you want to try your hand at YouTube superstardom, the site accepts videos up to 10 minutes long in most common video formats.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step1

Visit YouTube.com and click "Create Account" in the upper left corner of the site. Enter the required registration information and click "I Accept" to create your account.

  2. Step2

Sign in to your account by clicking "Sign In" and entering your user name and password.

  3. Step3

Click "Upload," located on the right side of the search bar at the top of every YouTube page. Click the yellow "Upload" button and select the video from your computer that you want to upload.

  4. Step4

Enter a title for the video in the "Title" text box and a description in the text box below that. Enter tags in the third text box--these are keywords that will help users find your video.

  5. Step5

Select a category for your video from the drop-down menu. Choose a privacy option from the three that are available--selecting "Private" means that only selected users can watch, "Unlisted" means that only users with the URL can watch, and "Public" allows all users to search for and watch the video.

  6. Step6

Click "Save Changes" to finalize your video.
